Bringing Data To Life

Freshwater Links will bring together multiple environmental projects with a citizen science component from across the River Thames catchment into a single online location. Freshwater Links will enhance geospatial resource sharing between citizen science initiatives, NGOs and government organisations. Visitors to Freshwater Links will be able to discover information, join in, and encourage ideas that will help to improve the quality of their local aquatic environments. Whether it is using or discovering national datasets, making new geographic outputs or simply gaining an understanding of the wellbeing of local aquatic environments, Freshwater Links will be the place to visit.

Earthwatch

We bring individuals from all walks of life together with world-class scientists to work for the good of the planet.

The Earthwatch community continues to grow rapidly, with participation from members of the general public we call "citizen scientists," to corporate employees, to educators and students.

All bring their knowledge, passion, and experience to support our work, improve scientific understanding, and inspire change across all touch-points in their lives.

Thames Water

We are committed to engaging positively with the communities we serve, and to minimise the impacts of our activities.
In 2014 we launched our community investment programme which will see us invest £6.5m in community projects over the next 5 years. The community investment strategy has been developed in response to a wide range of feedback including customer research and stakeholder comments, and aims to improve customer awareness of what we do for them.

We want to engage positively with the communities we serve and in 2015/16 we continued to develop our community investment strategy. This innovative programme of education activities and environmental enhancements is designed to engage our people, customers and stakeholders on key business and environmental issues.
